In this video, Betty (with the help of her husband, Rick) demonstrates how to make Grilled Salmon Steaks with Herb Butter. These are thick salmon steaks, cooked on the outdoor grill. Rick and I are trying to do quite a bit of grilling outdoors while the weather is still nice. During the winter I will be using an electric kitchen grill or broiler pan in the oven (unless Rick volunteers to go outside in the cold to grill something!).
Ingredients:
(4) 1-inch salmon steaks (We left the skin on, so that the flaky salmon would not fall apart when done. You may remove the skin before or after grilling, or serve the salmon with the skin on.)
1/4 cup butter, softened
1 tablespoon chopped fresh tarragon (You may use dried herbs for any of these herbs; just use 1/3 as much.)
1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
1 teaspoons chopped fresh parsley
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (You may substitute a different kind of prepared mustard here.)
freshly ground black pepper, to taste
1 green onion, finely sliced
In a small bowl, combine 1 tablespoon chopped fresh tarragon, 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives, 1 teaspoons chopped fresh parsley, 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard, some freshly ground black pepper, and 1 finely sliced green onion. Brush each of the 4 salmon steaks with the butter mixture, particularly on all parts with no skin. Grill salmon, uncovered, over 350 to 400 degree heat, until salmon flakes easily with a fork. This may take up to 8 minutes per side, but just watch carefully, testing for doneness. Brush any leftover herb butter on salmon as it cooks. This is an easy and healthy entre. I served it with a Sauteed Bell Pepper Medley, Pumpkin Bread Muffins, some Sesame Brittle, and iced teaall of which you will find in bettyskitchen. I hope you enjoy this healthy and hearty meal! –Betty

1) For the salad, set up your food processor with its chopper blade and then run the romaine lettuce leaves through, followed by the cilantro, roughly chopped chunks of cabbage and bell pepper; transfer everything to a large salad bowl
2) Slice the raw corn off of the cobs, and roughly fold the corn and the chopped leek into the other ingredients in your salad bowl.
3) For the dressing, use a manual citrus juicer or a citrus hand juicer to squeeze the juice of the orange & of the lime into your Vita-Mix blender, or other high-powered blender of your choice. http://bit.ly/GZsuq or http://bit.ly/3OTXD9

It’s really simple, folks…yes, it’s just about fruits and vegetables…and if anyone tells you fruits & veggies are boring, well then you know they haven’t seen the liferegenerator channel, now have they?
I like to keep my meals simple…and really…just use common sense! But in this day and age apparently common sense isn’t too common. “Fruits & vegetables?! What? Are you out of your mind!?” …but raw fruits and vegetables are simply the best forms of food to feed the cells and tissues of the body…they way that Mother Nature has done it for billions of years.
Regarding all the salad dressings I do for your guys, many of you probably have never heard of such recipes like this one…but as you’ll see they taste mighty good, and they’ll give you a tasty way to avoid falling back into high fat and/or high sugar store-bought salad dressings, even if they are from a so-called ‘natural’ or ‘healthy’ brand…as many of those are highly addicting, have you noticed? But for the days where you need more fat in your salad dressing, then trying throwing an avocado, or flax oil, or even some nuts in with the other ingredients in your Vitamix & blend.
As for now, think of eating to live…NOT living in order to eat…and then focus on consuming raw fruits & vegetables because they leave behind the least amount of metabolic wastes in the body, and ‘stick’ to you less. They simply allow you to go about your LIFE in a very unrestricting way…be prepared to have TOO much energy…and be prepared that some of you might get too afraid of all this newfound energy, as you won’t know what to do with it right away. Well, the one thing that you DO NOT want to let happen at that point, is for you to give up! Yes, its quite ironic that many new raw food eaters stop at that point, and they’ll even tell you why with no shame “Yeah, I just had too much energy and nowhere to utilize it!” – UM….WHAT??? Ok, for sure it might take you many days or even weeks to adjust to this extra energy you now have, but why not give yourself a chance in the meantime?
Aside from all this madness, I still do have one ‘rule’ that I would like each of you to go by: TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF & LOVE YOURSELF! And that’s the kind of change in you that will *really* make me happy…along with you losing weight & getting more fit & becoming more AWAKE & becoming more ALIVE, of course…

In this video, I deal with another viewer comment on why do people not lose weight or suffer weight loss stalls / plateaus. The first answer is “is it really a stall?”, “Have you lost any inches not just pounds?”, and “Have you not lost in more than 4 weeks?” If you satisfy these above question, this video is for you.
Here is list of reasons that I go into in this video:
1.) Eating too many carbs (hidden carbs / underestimating)
2.) Undereating – starvation mode dieting
3.) Dehydration
4.) Overeating
5.) Too little exercise
6.) Stress
7.) Food Sensitivities / Candida
In the next video I will touch upon your response. Here are some other good low carb resources:
