http://www.GuideForDummy.com/dieting — Going on a Diet to get Health and Fitness
There is absolutely no better reason to diet than for your own personal well-being and health.
People who are over weight know better than the majority of the risks and possible consequences that may result because of our weight.
Regardless if your eating habits are born of an addiction to certain foods, an emotional need, or years of learned behavior and conditioning things will not change.
Until you completely adjust your eating habits and your lifestyle choices.
Going on a diet for many has become a lifestyle in and of itself with people rapidly flip-flopping or yo-yoing from one diet to another with little success and growing despair over a sheer lack of results.
The truth is that until you decide to forgive yourself for your failures and acquire right back on the wagon, so to speak, after falling off no diet might be successful.
What most people who are over weight require more than anything else is to incorporate positive lifestyle changes into their daily routines.
People scoff at the notion of using the stairs or car parking farther away and yet those are perfectly plausible methods of working a bit more physical activity into your day.
You have to incorporate physical fitness into your day-to-day routine in order to achieve those immediate and visually stunning results that many dieters are hoping to achieve.
One more pitfall when it comes to dieting is that people give up far too quickly.
Just as the results are beginning and progressing people get tired of the process or frustrated that they aren’t accomplishing enough dramatic weight loss as quickly as they had hoped.
One more thing you should remember when it comes to dieting is that the scale can be your best friend or your worst enemy when dieting.
If you are weighing yourself every day in hopes of watching the scale tick off yet another pound you are dooming yourself to failure.

The world’s most beautiful and famous have swallowed his advice. He wrote one of the biggest selling diet books of all time, and it was based on his extraordinary belief that you could eat as much as you desire and still lose weight.
His name was Dr Robert Atkins, author of the Atkins new diet revolution. To some Dr Atkins was a hero, to others his diet was scientific heresy and potentially deadly.
In a series of ground breaking experiments Horizon investigates the truth behind the most controversial diet in history. Does the Atkins diet really work and is it dangerous?

aka how one Iowa guy lost over 200 pounds and gained his life back. I can not say enough about how positively the Atkins Diet and low carb in general has been for me. I went from a 429 pound guy who could barely make it up a flight steps to a guy running half marathons and rejoining the National Guard. My health is fantastic, and my blood work (cholesterol, triglycerides, blood pressure, heart) could not be better.
