There is no magic pill to make anyone lose weight. Diet and exercise are the ways to achieve that for most of us. Buy some books and magazines about this, rather than berries or pills that do not work. Acai berries are part of a scam. I have seen people tell about that on here many times. I think you are given a discount on the first order, but once the swindlers have your credit card number, they bill you for more than you want. Do not order any of them, please. I have reported some frauds on here who try to involve people in this swindle. Acai berries are no better than cranberries for any purpose, but they cost much more. It is a waste of money to buy them.

    Hi,

I graduated high school at 240 pounds and at 5 foot 3 that made me about as round as I was tall. I was one of those overweight teenagers who ate anything and everything without any regard to the effects it was having on my own body. Therefore, I began the diet pills, which did not work; I ate the special diet foods and even began drinking diet beverages. None of this stuff worked for me, just as it does not work for millions of overweight people. Eating less did not work and I was not one to work out or even get up and do anything remotely related to exercise. I knew I would look silly and it would hurt. I never thought or really cared about the health effects this would have on me, back then.

A year after a successful weight loss plan, now at 120 pounds, it is a major difference. I’ve lost 30 pounds in the first month. The most significant change in my life is the amount of energy I now have and the way my clothes fit loosely. Everyone close to me and people I haven’t seen in a while are amazed and tell me that I look really good. This is a life changing experience for me although at first I was skeptical about the weight loss plan.

Our own metabolism system play a vital part in controlling the amount of body fat burned in the process of providing energy to the body. Knowledge about our own metabolism function is the mother to all weight loss programs. With the knowledge you not only reduce your weight but able to maintain an ideal weight and living a healthy life. Best of all you can eat what you most enjoyed without gaining any weight. The success has inspired me to help others and i am sure you won’t be disappointed. The link is at the source below.

Millions of people used diet pills everyday hoping to lose weight without knowing the fact that diets pill could become a potential health risk to them. Americans spend a massive 50 billion dollars a year on diets and diet related products. We are being bombarded with commercials advertisements about fat blockers, carb cutters and appetite suppressants. Curiously with all these amazing pills on the market and billions of dollars spend by the consumers, why is it that American obesity problems are still in an epidemic proportions?

Acai berry is good for your overall health but was used as a weigth loss scam. Most people believe that diet pills and supplements will solved their overweight problems overnight. To them taking diet pills are the only solution to a quick remedy. Diet pills come in many varieties marketed as appetite suppressants, carb blockers, fat blockers and metabolism boosters. The active component used in most diet pills are Ephedrine under the brand names Metabolife, MeTrim, Herbalife, Adiphen, Thermalean, Lipodrene, Zymax, Genicil, Patent Lean, Thermoslim, Ultra Lipo Lean, Trim Life, Hydroxy Cut, Xenadrine, Herbal Phen-Fen, Shapefast, Thermoburn, Thyro-slim, Trim Spa, Natural Trim, Thermo-Lift and many others.

Ephedrine is an alkaloid from the leaves of Ephededra equisetina, E. Sinica, and other species (family Gnetaceae). It is also called Ephedra & Ma Huang, the plant source for the Alkaloid ephedrine. Indigenous to China, India and parts of Southeast Asia. According to the FDA, products containing ephedrine extracts have caused hundreds of illnesses, including seizures, heart attacks, strokes and even death. They are amphetamine-like compounds with powerful and potentially lethal stimulant effects on the central nervous system and the heart. These compounds act as stimulants that can cause rapid or irregular heartbeats (heart arrhythmia). It dilates the bronchial muscles, contacts the nasal mucosa, raises the blood pressure and is a cardiac stimulant. Further these compounds often cause psychological side effects such as depression, nervousness, insomnia, and rapid heart rate. When taken in combination with caffeine, ephedrine can over-stimulate the central nervous system, leading to potentially life-threatening results.

To avoid using Ephedrine, many companies are now offering Ephedrine free supplements. Unfortunately they still have some of the same side effects as appetite suppressants such as Dexatrim and Acutrim, which can produce symptoms such as, increased heart rate, dizziness, high blood pressure, nausea, anxiety, irritability, insomnia, dry mouth and diarrhea.

There are many prescription diet pills on the market as well including the popular and most commonly prescribed prescription appetite suppressant Phentermine. It is sold under the brand names: Lon amine and Adipex. These supplements, like most others, suppress the appetite and stimulate the central nervous system. Keep in mind that each diet pill has its own set of potential side effects. Many, especially stimulant-based diet pills, are habit-forming and lend themselves to abuse. Abuse of these drugs may lead to psychological and/or physical dependence.

Often, people use diet aids to help suppress the appetite, block fat and carbs or to boost the metabolism. The problem with suppressing the appetite among other things are that appetite suppression leads to the consumption of fewer calories. It is a common misconception that consuming fewer calories lead to weight loss. When you consume too few calories, your metabolism actually slows down. As your metabolism slows, the amount of weight you lose also slows down. Eating too much or eating too little may have devastating effects on the body.

To lose weight safely and effectively in the long-term you have to consume actually a moderate amount of calories. Food provides the fuel your body needs to function properly and that includes your metabolism. Fat blockers like Xenical may have many harmful side effects such as oily spotting, anal leakage, intestinal cramping, gas with discharge, nausea, diarrhea, oily discharge, fecal urgency, loose and oily stools, fecal incontinence, frequent bowel movements, and inability to control bowels.

If you think that this is only an inconvenience rather than a health threat, consider this – whenever fat absorption is blocked, there are some likely discomforts and risks. Mainly, the essential vitamins, A, D, E, and K are "fat soluble" vitamins. It means that they are carried, along with fat, into the bloodstream. If you are limiting fat absorption, you cannot help but restrict absorption of these essential micro nutrients. They play a major role in metabolism, immune function, and overall health.

In recent studies it is noted that people who use fat blockers only end up blocking 30% of the fat they take in. Controlled studies have also proven that the difference in weight loss for fat blocker users and non-users is mini
